When You Least Expect By Josh Blake Chapter 40 Our first evening in England ended up being a short one. As it turns out, we were all exhausted from flying and we really wanted to get some sleep. Mom and Jackson actually fell asleep in her room waiting on Braden and me to get ready. Jackson was cranky and rubbing his eyes when they came back to our room. Austin and Lucas looked flushed when they came in a few minutes later. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what they were doing. The part that startled us all was when Mark and Bonnie came in. Bonnie looked slightly disheveled, and her blouse was buttoned wrong with a couple buttons open and others in the wrong place. Braden noticed about the same time I did. I tried to motion to Mom so she could let her know woman to woman and hopefully avoid embarrassing Bonnie. “Josh, is there something in your eye?” Mom asked. “No, Mom.” I moved my eyes toward Bonnie again. “Are you having trouble seeing? I told you it was time for another appointment with that eye doctor. I was about your age when I started wearing glasses!” “Mom, there’s nothing wrong with my eyes,” I said. About that time, Austin realized his mom’s blouse was in a state of disarray and wasted no time in letting her know. “Geez, Mom. Don’t you know how to button your blouse?” Austin said, lauging. “Oh, Jesus Christ!” Bonnie said. “I guess I was in such a hurry to put my blouse back on after…” she stopped, realizing what she was saying. I chuckled. Braden turned bright red. Mark cleared his throat and looked at the floor. Lucas took a deep breath and turned to look out the window. “Oh, grow up, all of you!” Bonnie scolded. “It’s not like every couple in this room wasn’t doing the same thing! Austin, remember you and Lucas are in the room right next to us. We weren’t as loud as you guys were, though!” “Oh, did you hear us and decide you wanted to get it on, too?” Austin said with a laugh. “Austin, quit it!” Lucas said, punching him on the arm. “What did you get on, Nana?” Jackson asked, excitedly. “Did you get on the bed and jump? Was everyone jumping on the bed? I want to jump on the bed?” “Fuck, I forgot he was here,” Austin said. “I’m not supposed to say that word,” Jackson said. “Dad and Daddy told me it’s a bad word that little boys shouldn’t say.” “They’re right, buddy,” Lucas said. “Your Uncle Austin is just saying a lot of things that he shouldn’t say today.” Lucas glared at Austin. “Changing the subject,” Braden said, “Josh, why don’t you call downstairs and ask that woman we were talking to what restaurant she would recommend?” “That’s a good idea, babe. What was her name?” I walked toward the desk in the room that had a landline phone on it. “I don’t know, Lauren, Lindsey, something like that,” Braden said. “It was Lolly,” Mark said. “Like a lolly pop.” Bonnie shot him a look. “I guess you would like a lolly pop from her?” “Shhh, be quiet so I can hear!” I said. I really didn’t need Mark and Bonnie getting in a fight. I pressed the button on the phone to be connected to the front desk. “This is Margo, how may I serve mezitli escort you this afternoon?” “Hi Margo, this is Josh Patterson.” “Oh, hello Mr. Patterson,” Margo said cheerily. “How may I serve you?” “Is Lolly around? I had some questions about restaurants.” “Certainly. I’ll send your call to her station. Good day, Mr. Patterson!” “This is Lolly. How may I serve you?” I explained to Lolly that we were hoping to find a nice restaurant for dinner that was somewhere near the hotel. After a brief discussion about what kind of food we wanted and some questions to the rest of the group, we decided that we would like to try an Indian restaurant. Indian food is very popular in England, and we wanted to have the most authentic experience possible. Lolly recommended a restaurant near the hotel called The Curry Room. It was quite pricy, but it was worth it. Lolly was able to get us a reservation with no issues and we headed over at the appointed time. Our waiter was a very handsome man with an olive complexion. His black, wavy hair was combed back. He wore glasses that were simple silver, wire frames. He had a five o’clock shadow that accentuated his jawline. The black pants that he wore accentuated his ass and had a prominent bulge in the front. His white, button-down shirt showed off his muscular arms and his pecs. “Good Evening, my name is Amir and I will be taking care of you this evening. Our starter this evening is Keema Samosa, Poppadum, Lime Pickle, Mango Chutney, and Raita.” “I don’t know what any of those words mean,” Mom said. “Ah, you are Americans!” Amir said, smiling. “Welcome, welcome! Do not worry, I will explain it all to you!” “Well, aren’t you just the sweetest,” Mom said. She smiled and batted her eyes at him. “Oh God,” I whispered. “Daddy, it’s not time to pray,” Jackson said. “Wait til bedtime.” Braden cracked up at Jackson’s remark, which caused Austin to start laughing, even though he didn’t even know the whole joke. Braden promised to tell him about it later. Amir had gone through the process of explaining to Mom what everything was that was that he had just brought out, but I missed most of what he said. If I thought I was embarrassed now between Mom admitting she knew nothing about the cuisine, Jackson making a comment about praying, and Braden cracking up at the table, I had no idea what was coming. “Dad, look at his ass! He is one hot dude!” Jackson exclaimed. Everyone in the restaurant looked at us. Braden was speechless and turned bright red. Mom choked on her water. Mark and Bonnie just stared with their mouths open. Austin, of course, was howling with laughter and Lucas was trying to get him to stop. “Jackson, come with me.” I said, sternly. “But Daddy, I don’t…” Jack argued “Jackson Elliot Patterson,” I said slowly, pausing after each part of his name. “Come. With. Me.” I spoke slowly and calmly, well aware that all eyes were on me. “You too,” I said to Braden. “Do you…” Mom started. “Nope. I got this,” I said. I took Jackson’s hand and walked him outside. Braden brought up the rear. “Jackson, where did you learn to talk like that?” I asked. “Like what? I just told Dad to look at that man’s ass,” Jack said. “Don’t say `ass,’ Jackson. Say bottom,” Braden added. “Not helping!” I mouthed to Braden “Dad is right, son. You shouldn’t use that word. But you don’t comment about the way someone looks in public. It’s not polite.” “But Uncle Austin and Uncle Lukie say things about how dudes look all the time when they take me places. They point out all the studs to each other. And Daddy, what’s a dilf? Uncle Austin said some guy was a dilf at the zoo when him and Lukie took me.” “Never mind,” I said. “That’s not something you should ever call someone. Now, let’s go back in and have dinner. And no more talking unless it’s something pozcu escort nice! Got it?” “Yes, Daddy,” Jack said. “We need to have a talk with your brother,” I said to Braden, quietly. “And Lucas,” Braden added. We got back to the table just as Amir was taking everyone’s order for the main course. Mom ordered chicken and prawn curry because she liked the sound of the tomato-based gravy. Austin, being a fan of spicy foods, ordered the spicy beef vindaloo. Lucas thought the kerala prawn curry sounded good with its coconut sauce. Mark and Bonnie ordered Bengal fish curry and chicken and prawn curry to share. Braden wanted to try the chicken and prawn curry as well, and I ordered the spicy beef vindaloo. We ordered butter chicken simmered in butter, chili, and coriander cream for Jack. When Amir came to refill our water glasses before bringing out the main course, I took a moment to apologize for Jackson’s earlier remarks. “There is no need to apologize, sir. It was quite flattering. You have a very cute son. And his parents are quite handsome as well,” Amir said. He winked at Braden and walked back toward the kitchen. “Did he just…” Austin started, but stopped when Lucas put his hand on top of Austin’s. Lucas caught my angry look and knew I wasn’t happy. I still had enough high school principal in me to be able to give a look that would immediately silence anyone. Amir returned a short time later with our main courses. The food was exquisite! With us not having many choices for Indian food at home, we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but we were not disappointed. While we were tempted to skip dessert, it was included as part of the meal, so how could we resist? Being cheesecake lovers, Braden and I both selected Bea Tollman’s baked vanilla cheesecake. Mom liked the sound of steamed date and banana pudding, which, as she soon discovered, was more of a bread than a pudding. English pudding, we found out, is not like what we Americans consider pudding. Mark and Bonnie also ordered the cheesecake, while Austin and Lucas decided they wanted ice cream. They ordered espresso martini and spiced rum and vanilla flavors and shared them. Jack also wanted ice cream and he very much enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut we ordered him. With our bellies full, I used my credit card to pay the bill. When I received the ticket to sign, I added a generous tip for Amir. I pulled out the duplicate customer copy and noticed that Amir had written a note. “It was a pleasure serving you. Please let me know if you need ANYTHING!” He followed the note with a phone number and an email address. Before anyone else could see it, I folded the receipt and put it in my wallet. The walk back to the hotel was a slow one as we were all so full from the wonderful meal. “Oh, look at the palace!” Mom said as we walked past Buckingham Palace. “Isn’t it pretty!?” “It sure is,” Bonnie said. We all agreed. It really was breathtaking. When we got back the hotel, I asked Mom to take Jackson to her room and put him to bed. Braden told Austin and Lucas to come to our room to have a chat. Jackson put up a little fuss because he wanted to spend time with Braden and me, and frankly I wanted to spend time with him as well. However, we had to take care of the situation that had occurred earlier. “Do you guys want a drink?” Braden asked, pouring himself a small amount of Scotch. We had picked it up when we first arrived. “I’ll have some,” Austin said. Lucas said he’d have some as well. As to not be the only one not drinking, I also told Braden to pour me a bit. “Guys, we have to talk about what happened earlier at the restaurant,” I said. “You mean when Jackson pointed out what a hot ass that waiter had?” Austin said, laughing. “You gotta admit. Dude was seriously hot. And that ass. Woof! I’d bury my face in there.” “Seriously?” escort bayan Lucas said, slightly annoyed. “I’m right here! Am I not good enough for you or something?” “Babe, no, that’s not what I meant. You know we talk about guys all the time and point them out to each other,” Austin explained. “I know, babe. But sometimes it makes me feel like I’m not good enough for you,” Lucas said. “You’re all I want, dude. You know how much I love you!” Austin said, putting his arm around Lucas and leaning in for a kiss. “Guys, you can talk about this later,” I said. “For now, let’s talk about Jackson. This kind of thing is exactly what I’m talking about. Do you guys talk like this around him when you take him places?” “I mean, we do talk about hot guys. But I don’t think he hears us,” Austin said. “I think he does,” I said. “You know little kids have big ears. They hear everything! We can’t have him running around saying who he thinks is hot and objectifying people’s bodies. Especially not at his age!” “Well, if you don’t want us spending time with him…” Austin started, getting slightly upset. “That’s not at all what Josh is saying,” Braden said, speaking for the first time since we sat down. “All Josh is saying is watch what you say around Jackson. He hears things and then repeats them because he thinks they’re normal. At least let him hit puberty before he starts scoping out guys,” Braden paused. “Or even girls. Who knows.” “You are a great uncle,” I added. “And you are a great big brother/uncle, Lucas. The last thing we want is for you to spend less time with Jack. He loves you! You just have to be careful what you say. That’s all. One day you two are going to have a kid of your own and you’ll understand.” “I get it,” Austin said, more calmly than before. “And for what it’s worth, we apologize,” Lucas said. “I love Jack so much the last thing I want to do is cause any trouble where he’s concerned.” “No need to apologize,” I said. “Just be more careful.” “So, have you two thought about wedding dates anymore?” Braden asked. “We actually have,” Lucas said. “We are thinking next summer or fall. We both want to be out of school. By then, I should know where I’ll be working and we can settle down somewhere.” “Have you put any feelers out for jobs yet?” I asked. Lucas was going to be a meteorologist working for a television station somewhere. With that kind of job, you don’t always get a lot of choice in where you work. “it’s a little early for that,” Lucas said. “But I really want to stay in the southeast. I’d prefer Birmingham, Huntsville, Nashville, somewhere like that. Maybe even Montgomery or Mobile.” “You know where I’m hoping for,” Austin said. “I know, babe. You want me in Chattanooga. I’d love to be there, but it might not happen. I have to be open minded about where I go, especially starting out. I might have to go to a small market like Dothan, Alabama or Columbus, Georgia to get my feet wet and then move up.” “Wherever we go, as long as we’re together, I’ll be happy,” Austin said, leaning over to kiss Lucas again. “Remember when we were that young?” Braden asked, leaning over to kiss me. “I remember when YOU were that young. I’ve always been the old one in the relationship,” I laughed. “Lucky for you I have a thing for older guys.” Braden stood up and then sat in my lap. He wrapped his arms around me and started kissing me. I could taste the scotch on his lips. I’m sure he could taste it on mine as well. I looked up to see that Austin and Lucas were in a pretty serious make out session as well. My dick was hard as a rock and I could feel Braden’s hard dick pressing against his jeans as I put my hand on his crotch. “I think we are going to call it a night,” Lucas said, slightly breathless. “Probably a good idea,” Braden said, removing his lips from mine long enough to answer. “Yeah, ummm, unless you guys want to maybe have a little fun together,” Austin said.
